About the Fund

The Hospitality and General Provident Fund is a ‘savings plan’ to assist you in setting aside funds for your retirement. Each month, both you and the employer will contribute a sum of money to this Fund, which will grow to support you once you retire and stop earning an income.

This Fund offers benefits to you, its members, if you terminate your employment or retire. Additionally, should you become disabled, you are entitled to benefits, and in the unfortunate event of your death while still active in the Hospitality and General Provident Fund, your beneficiaries will receive benefits.

With a legacy dating back to 1967, The HGPF continues to uphold its reputation as a leading retirement Fund. We proudly provide excellent service and solutions to our members, with a commitment that remains as steadfast today as it was back then.

With R1.6 billion + in assets under management and a thriving community of over 34,000+ members, backed by the trust of 1,300+ participating employers, our approach stands out as a beacon of financial empowerment.
