We recognise that for most members, making investment decisions can be a daunting task, especially when those choices bear a significant impact on their retirement outcomes. At The HGPF, we've taken proactive measures to ensure that their financial journey is met with confidence and reassurance. The Board, alongside seasoned investment experts, has diligently formulated an investment strategy that aligns with the aspirations of our valued retirement members.
HGPF does not offer investment choice to members. Instead, investment decisions and placing is managed through the advice of an investment consultant who is employed by the Fund. Due regard in all this is given to the Investment Policy Statement, the Rules of the Fund, and the PFA.
The Fund will make use of a strategic asset allocation to achieve its investment objective. The degree of deviation from the strategic asset allocation will be limited to upper and lower bounds for each asset class.
Difficult Terms Explained | Strategic asset allocation is planning how to spread your money across different types of investments, such as stocks, bonds, and cash, based on your goals and how much risk you're comfortable with. It's like creating a recipe for your investment mix and sticking to it over time, but you can also adjust it if your goals or the market change. |
Working hand in hand with a dedicated team of experienced investment consultants, the Board has meticulously designed an investment strategy that considers the collective interests of our diverse membership. This collaborative approach ensures that their investments are nurtured with the utmost care and foresight.
Our commitment doesn't stop at the creation of an investment strategy – it's a journey of ongoing dedication. The Board of Management stands vigilant in regularly assessing the performance of the Fund's assets in relation to the goals we've set forth. This ensures that their financial future is poised for growth.
At the heart of our investment strategy lies a profound commitment: to craft a path that leads to a fulfilling retirement.
